SCHEMATICS AND PRINTED BOARD LAYOUTS
The "heart" of the charge controller. The main buck circuit, including two fuses, two current sensors and 3 sets of terminal blocks (listed solar, batt, and load). Also, included on the main board is a blocking diode (D1), filter capacitor on the input (C1) and output (C2), a voltage divider network (R1 & R3), two transistors with current limiting resistors at the base, and (Q1 & Q2) two p-MOSFET's. At last is JP7 which is a 2x8 header for a ribbon cable to head back to the microcontroller board.

Check out DATASHEETS for a brief parts list and specs on components.
Add-on board to the "Brains" of the charge controller. This board accommodates voltage divider networks for the current sensors and voltage sensors, as well as transistor network to turn on when a voltage reading is desired as not to waste any more power than is needed. JP2, which is a switching regulator to step down the battery voltage to 5 volts to power the freedom board. Two headers (2x8) to run to the LCD and buck converter above. Two push-buttons, which one will be to turn on transistor T3 to power the backlight of the LCD. Three led indicator lights with current limiting resistors.
